“As any sailor will tell you, most of the pleasure of sailing is in the quality of the boats. My family and I have been extremely fortunate in that regard. For the past fifty years, the beautiful boats built by Hinckley Company of Southwest Harbor have been a constant part of our lives. Hinckley is, of course, one of the most respected yacht builders in the world.” ~ David Rockefeller

The Hinckley 41, Camelot, has just undergone a complete refit that is truly befitting of a Hinckley Yachts. The current owners have painstakingly gone over the yacht from stem to stern with a keen eye on the craftsman details that separate these yacht from the modern production boat. Built and refit to a very exacting standard, this yacht is ready to sail this season. In near pristine condition Camelot offers extraordinary value on today's market.

Hinckley Yachts

“There’s an aura about a Hinckley that’s not easily put into words. Whatever the source of the mystique – the design, the heritage, the incomparable way they handle – over the years the name has embedded itself into the hearts and minds of yachtsmen and aspiring sailors alike. It’s little wonder that the name instantly commands attention and respect…” ~ Nick Voulgaris III in Hinckley Yachts an American Icon

  • Hill Range three burner stove
  • Storage outboard and below
  • Overhead lighting
  • Corian countertops
  • Stainless steel single basin sink with hot/cold fresh water

The salon (of Camelot) has been completely rebuilt in the four-year refit. The port side bunks, which used to mirror the double bunks on the starboard side, were removed and rebuilt into a cozy, curved settee which accommodates a beautiful drop-leaf table. The table can be converted into a double berth, so no bunks would be lost. The mahogany that is outboard of the bunks and table has all been taken down and re-oiled making the salon look brand new. With the newly re-varnish cabin sole Camelot's interior shines. Additional features:

  • Drop-leaf table that converts to double berth
  • Double bunk
  • Shelf storage port and starboard outboard
  • Drawer/locker storage above seating port and starboard
  • (4) Reading lights
  • Fixed portlights
  • Large opening deck hatch for light and ventilation
  • Speakers port and starboard

Just forward of the salon is the head. It features matching Corian countertops and an all new tile floor. All of the hoses, valves and syphon breaks have been replaced, and there is a rebuilt Groco head with a Lectrasan maceration system. The under mount sink has hot/cold pressure water and a shower.

  • Opening bronze portlight
  • Drawer and locker storage outboard
  • Storage below countertop
  • Overhead lighting

Forward of the head is a spacious V-berth, with storage below the bunks and above. It features a large hatch overhead and access to the anchor locker. There are two large lined hanging lockers to starboard. Additional features:

  • Shelf storage port and starboard
  • (2) Overhead lights
  • Credenza with drawer storage to port
  • Cubby storage aft

Navigation Station

One of the features gorgeously executed by the owner was the addition of a navigation station (these 41’s were not built with this highly practical amenity). Located on the starboard side of the galley, it features a large chart table with storage outboard, under work surface, and easy access to the circuit panel aft. The attention to detail here is remarkable as the desk comes completely apart to give great access to the hot water heater and engine. Additional features include:

  • Speaker
  • Electric panel with volt and amp meter
  • Bench seating

Why the Hinkley 41 Camelot?

Hinkley built its reputation on paying attention to the details and delivering a yacht to a standard that exceeded expectations. The current owners of Camelot embody this ethos and have reconditioned the elements of this yacht that have made this iconic yacht so coveted while improving on features that were known issues without sacrificing the aesthetic timelessness or beauty of her interior.
