Overview
The "DOUBLE EAGLE"
Under just two long term owners, this Hans Christian 38 has been lovingly maintained. Being a Maine boat she has typically been out of the water, under cover, for eight plus months per year. In recent years the current owners have begun to replace a number of things including sails and covers etc., thus making her a boat that should require little as the new owners ready themselves to take over her care.

Vessel Walk Thru-
The Hans Christian 38's are known for their richly finished fully varnished teak interiors with teak and holly soles. Two comfortable staterooms provide berths for four, but the salon dining table makes down to a double and the straight settee to starboard affords a berth for a seventh in a pinch. Abundant natural light and ventilation with two large hatches, one a handsome traditional butterfly hatch, and nine bronze ports. Extensive lighting with several overhead dome style lamps and then reading lamps at each berth and settee. On a foggy morning or on season extending cruises Espar diesel cabin heat will keep the cabin warm.
Starting forward is the owners stateroom with 6'-6" V-berth with storage in drawers under, aft and to starboard is a locker with shelves and a hanging locker. Next aft and to port is the enclosed Head with separate stall shower. Manual W.C. plumbed via a Y valve to the waste tank, Vanity with sink and H&C pressure water.
The Salon is very spacious with a U-shaped dinette to port with large pedestal table. There is some storage under the settee and in lockers behind the seat backs and shelving and lockers above. A straight settee is to starboard with similar storage arrangements, aft of which is a bureau with yet more storage. The engine is mounted under the inboard end of the dinette settee and inboard section of galley, but the joiner work panels remove easily for very good access.
The Galley is aft of the Salon to port and is really a cook's galley in a 38' sail boat. It's U-shape affords plenty of work space on the cream colored marble counter tops with deep double basin stainless steel sink with bronze fixtures with H&C pressure water. Cooking is off of a Force 10 gimballed three burner propane stove with oven. There is a large divided ice box for chilled food stuffs and plenty of storage for crockery, utensils and dry goods.
Furthest aft and to starboard is the forward facing Nav. Station and seat. Adjoining is space for Nav. pubs, electronics and the yachts electrical distribution panels. To port is the aft stateroom with double quarter berth and plenty of storage including drawers and hanging locker.
Throughout the Hans Christian 38 gives a feeling of charm and warmth and the entire interior is in remarkably good condition throughout.
