Overview

Huge Price Reduction - Donated to Non Profit and available through Charter / Purchase

Great opportunity to own a wonderful passage making vessel.

Bristol Channel Cutters were designed by Lyle Hess as boats to withstand the rigors of blue water cruising, and Sam Morse built them to meet all of the demands that many years and thousands of miles of passage making can present. Everything about the Bristol Channel Cutter exudes quality and seaworthiness. She is stout-hearted and performs admirably in both light and heavy airs. Arethusa was the last BCC to be built by the Sam L. Morse factory while Sam himself was still in charge and when quality and pride of craftsmanship were at the highest level. She has continued to enjoy that same kind of affection and care throughout her life. This vessel is a must-see for those who know that the Bristol Channel Cutter is built to go anywhere in the world. She has just completed over a 12,000 mile cruise of the Atlantic and is ready to go today, as she provides an opportunity for a well-maintained, passage proven vessel.

Accommodations

Chain locker and forepeak storage area are forward followed by an enclosed forward cabin with a centerline covered head, a hanging locker and shelves to starboard and a unique pull-out wash basin along with storage lockers and drawers to port. Next aft is the salon with a centerline foldout dinette; a cozy Force 10 cabin heater, settee/berth and bookshelves to starboard; a settee/ berth and pilot berth to port. There is ample storage below and outboard of the settee/berths and the pilot berth is really incredible as it slides out to form a double berth that is quite comfortable for two.

Next aft to starboard is the chart table with refrigerator under. There is a unique Lyle Hess foldout counter that extends across to the sink on the port side forming a secure U-shaped functional galley with an incredible amount of counter space. The three-burner stove with oven is to port of the companionway while to starboard there is a wet locker and a perfect sea berth/ quarter/berth.12-volt lighting throughout plus three Sorensen kerosene lanterns. The interior including the cabin sole is beautifully finished in hand-rubbed teak and she is kept light and airy with bronze opening ports, butterfly hatch and sliding hatches in both the forward cabin and salon.
