     Built by Robertson & Caine and designed by Alexander Simonis, the Lion 46 was at the front of the power catamaran movement emphasizing comfortable, efficient cruising with exceptional usage of space over thee decks. Hull

     The Lion 46 Marebe has an advanced composite GRP sandwich construction using high quality materials and incorporating a vacuum bonded foam core, providing high compression and impact resistance. The hull is white gelcoat with a painted blue boot stripe. The topsides feature:

  • Molded plastic rub-rail with stainless steel cap-rail port and starboard
  • (4) Small port lights port and starboard
  • Large oblong port lights port and starboard
  • Outboard aft cleat port and starboard
  • Stainless steel handrails
  • Stainless steel dinghy davits
  • Fixed cleats on the port and starboard transom
  • Flooding swim ladder on port transom
  • Ruprail built into the mold surrounding the aft and outboard port and starboard hull with stainless steel cap rail

    Below the water line Marebe features a modern hull shape with molded tunnels for the props and rudders and added foils mounted between the hulls forward and aft offering exceptional lift for the boat and significantly increasing performance. Also featured below the waterline:

  • Blue anti-fouling
  • Stainless steel rudders port and starboard
  • Hull zincs on transom port and starboard
  • (4) Blade fixed props port and starboard
  • Bridal U-bolts inboard of port and starboard hull 

Deck

     The Lion 46 featured textured GRP decks with large swim/loading platforms on the transoms port and starboard with access to the cockpit up (3) steps into the cockpit. Entering the cockpit, Marebe features:

  • Molded bench cockpit seat with upholstered bottom and back cushions
  • Stainless steel hand rail around the back and sides of the molded bench seat
  • Locker storage below bench seating
  • Forward opening engine hatches port and starboard
  • Overhead lighting
  • Molded locker storage below fly bridge ladder
  • Stainless steel fly-bridge ladder with GRP treads
  • (3) Stainless steel rod holders on aft edge of fly bridge deck

     Up three steps, port and starboard outboard, you enter the protected weather deck with a stainless-steel hand rail outboard and the bulwark inboard, with stainless steel hand-rails, offering protected passage forward even in adverse conditions. Forward or the weather decks are the large open foredeck featuring:

  • Midships bow cleats port and starboard
  • Stainless steel handrails surrounding port, starboard and forward wing bridge
  • Search light port and starboard mounted on rails
  • Bow cleats port and starboard
  • Stainless steel fender holders port and starboard

Flybridge

     Returning to the cockpit and stepping up the stainless steel and GRP ladder to the fly-bridge you enter a large open deck area that offers great usable space for operating the vessel, lounging dining and general family time. This area also features:

  • Folding windshield on fly-bridge, providing comfort in all conditions
  • Stainless steel handrails surrounding flybridge
  • Molded surround seating with upholstered seating and bolsters
  • GRP single leaf table with inset cup holders
  • Single basin sink with pressurized hot/cold fresh water
  • Molded sink cabinet with Corian worktop and locker storage below
  • Helm station with suite of electronics and secondary helm and throttle
  • Sun cover for helm and seating

Salon and Wingbridge Deck

     Returning the wingbridge cockpit you enter the salon/pilot salon through the sliding door. As you enter this salon, the aisle galley runs along the port side facing outboard ending at the companionway steps that access the lower cabins to port. Forward of the companionways on the wingbridge is a double settee to port and the internal helm station to starboard. Turning back to the transom to starboard in the semi circular dinette with wood table and upholstered seating.

     The galley with black Corian counters offers great visibility in a central location. Moving forward from the sliding doors this area features:

  • Over and under fridge/freezer 
  • Electrical panels and gauges (see electrical)
  • Locker storage above microwave
  • Microwave
  • Induction cook-top
  • Stainless steel rails around cook-top
  •  Stainless steel double basin sink with hot/cold pressurized freshwater with single lever mixer head
