Descriptions

The Back Cove 29s are prized for their pragmatic layouts and use of space.

Starting forward & below decks is a V-berth/Settee that is over 7' long below which there is bin type storage. Dining is from a pedestal style table which drops down to form a V-berth filler.  Above the berth the hull is sheathed with Ash "ceilings" and there is a full length storage shelf.  Aft and to starboard is a cedar lined hanging locker and then the Enclosed Head which features an electric W.C. plumbed to the holding tank, laminate counter tops with stainless steel sink with telephone type faucet arrangement that may be used as an ensuite shower which drains to a separate sump.

Opposite the head is the Galley with dual voltage refrigerator/freezer compartment, Origo electric/low pressure alcohol single burner stove, Microwave oven, Corian style counter tops and generous storage.

Up two steps to the helm deck with forward facing Pompanette Seats P&S followed by and L-settee to port with storage under; the settee is large enough to seat 3 and can be converted to a kids berth with additional custom cushions.  There is also a 2nd 12 volt top load "drink cooler" under the L-Settee.  Down one step to the cockpit with full width transom seat with open storage under. Manufacturer Provided Description

From spoon bow to gently sloped transom, the design elements of the Back Cove 29 speak to her Maine lobster boat heritage. Yet below the surface is a modern deep-vee hull just waiting for her owner to push the throttle forward and to jump up onto plane. With ample room in her cockpit and comfortable amenities below, she is a yacht that will give her owners years of pleasure and immense pride of ownership, at a cost which is considerably lower than for custom boats of this type. Launched at the Newport International Boat Show in the fall of 2003, Back Cove 29s have received critical acclaim from both the yachting press and discriminating owners.
