Vessel Walk-Thru  Known as being very commodious vessels, the Caliber 40 offers accommodations for up to six in a two stateroom, two head layout with a full varnished teak interior with a varnished teak and holly sole. Headroom is 6'4" throughout. The entire interior is finished in warm, satin-varnished teak, including teak battens lining the hull in the salon and master stateroom. Teak-and-holly sole is throughout the cabin, and the overhead has multiple handrails for safety underway. In the bow, the Master Head has a separate shower stall with built-in seat, Plexiglas door, and automatic drain pump, as well as electric toilet (fresh or sea water flush), sink and faucet, Corian counter top, and storage cabinets. Aft of the head, the Master Stateroom has a Pullman-style queen berth to port. This stateroom – well aft of the typical V-berth – is a comfortable location at anchor or underway. Ample space for clothing is provided by two large cedar-lined hanging lockers, a bookshelf and two lockers above, two lockers and three customized drawers below the berth, and two vanity lockers with four shelves. Aft of the master stateroom is the Main Salon, with a straight settee to starboard and an L-shaped settee to port, all fitted with very comfortable cushions. The port settee converts to a berth for two, and the starboard settee sleeps one. This area takes full advantage of the wide beam to provide an expansive main living area. A large, teak, twin-leaf, fold-away, bulkhead-mounted dining table seats up to six. With the table up, the salon has an open, airy feel, and the table hides a storage rack for wine and dishes. With the water and fuel tanks integral to the hull, the spaces under and behind the settees are fully usable for storage. Additional storage is above the settees in four lockers and six book shelves with teak fiddles. The well-equipped Galley, to port and aft of the salon, is designed for preparing meals whether underway or on anchor. The galley has Corian counters, a stainless steel sink with tap for Seagull filtered water, built-in microwave, two-burner gimbaled marine LPG stove and oven, and digital control, top loading, Frigoboat refrigerator and freezer. Ample storage is provided by four deep, positive latching customized drawers, large, easyaccess storage locker under the sink, storage locker under the stove, and storage bin above the Nav. Station. The Nav. Station, facing The Nav. Station, facing outboard behind the galley, has a red- or white-lit chart table with hinged lid and chart storage underneath. The neatly arranged AC and DC electrical panels, VHF radio, and a number of other instruments, controls, and displays are located at the Nav. Station. The Guest Head, at the base of the companionway and across from the galley and Nav. Station, is accessible from the salon, the cockpit, or through a second dedicated privacy door from the aft stateroom. This head has a sink, marine toilet, full-length mirror, shower nozzle, and two storage lockers. Aft of the second head, the Guest Stateroom has a double bed (which nicely serves as a sea berth on offshore passages), a cedar-lined clothes-hanging locker, a locker underneath, its own door for privacy, and direct access to the second head. Ventilation – The entire below decks is kept comfortable with an incredible amount of natural light and ventilation comprised of 14 opening ports, 7 Lewmar Ocean hatches (2 large and 5 smaller), 2 dorade vents, and a mushroom solar vent in the shower. In addition, 11 two-speed, high-capacity, low-current fans move the inside air for added comfort on warm days. On Deck: The Caliber 40 has a modern "T" shaped cockpit with lazarettes aft and large sail locker to port. All control lines lead aft including the lines for the first two reefs. The cockpit has seats large enough to sleep on and superb drainage with 3 1.5" drains. Additional ENDGAME, a superb 2005 Caliber 40 LRC is for sale by her first owner. During most of the tenure of ownership, she has been coastal cruised and stored in inside heated storage for 8 months of the year in one of the finest yards we know of.

Manufacturer Provided Description A modified fin keel with skeg-hung rudder makes the Caliber 40LRC exceptionally responsive and quick, with outstanding directional stability even through pounding seas. Because she has an unusually large displacement for a boat of her size, the Caliber moves steadily in heavy seas, and because of her high ballast-to-displacement ratio, the Caliber is very stable (and therefore safe) in rough water. Much of the Caliber's weight is due to her superior construction and not just added ballast, so Caliber owners can be extra certain that their boat can take what the sea dishes out. Other builders may extol their use of exotic new building materials to save weight, but Caliber Yachts sticks with hefty, hand-crafted lamination - a time-tested construction method that provides layer upon layer of strength against tough offshore conditions. It's the reason why the Caliber 40LRC feels so solid - and why Caliber Yachts guarantees its hulls for life against structural defects to the original owner. Caliber Yachts are built for outstanding resistance to collisions, with extra layers of solid fiberglass at potential impact points. In case of damage to the bow or rudder, a watertight collision pocket and a rudder post dam are designed to minimize flooding.
