2006 Grand Banks Eastbay
Yacht price :
The interior of this exceptional Eastbay 39 has just been completely redone. EVERY square inch of teak was re-varnished (polyurethaned technically) and every piece of soft goods (except the Stidd Seats) were re-upholstered in Ultra Leather she literally looks and feels like new!!
Other recent improvements included complete 0 hour "re-mans" of her Caterpillar C-7's in 2017 which now have just 50-60 hours on them since. There are a number of other upgrades, please review the full specs tab for details. She has just been launched 6/24/19. That is a typical launch date, generally she is hauled by mid October meaning that 8+ months of the year she is in inside storage being pampered has she has been this past winter!

Vessel Walk Thru- The Eastbay 39 is a delight to be on board of either underway or at mooring/anchor. Quiet and stable at a full cruise of 25 knots, with an abundance of natural light and ventilation with six opening ports and three large hatches all with screens and with the helm deck/salon being completely surrounded with large windows, two of them large sliders and centerline opening windshield. Her teak interior was just COMPLETELY RE-VARNISHED with multiple coats of polyurethane on the teak and holly sole and all teak joiner work. ALL UPHOLSTERY WAS LIKEWISE JUST RECOVERED with new Ultra Leather right down to the inserts for the table at the settee that drops down to form a berth.
When natural ventilation is not sufficient there are two units of reverse cycle (heat and cool) air conditioning equipment, installed 2016, to keep the yacht comfortable in a wide range of climates and seasons. Artificial lighting is equally well thought out with numerous overhead recessed lights as well as swivel style reading lamps at all berths and settees.
Accommodations are for four, with a single stateroom layout with Island Queen berth and 7' settee that can be made down into a double berth. Starting forward is the Private Stateroom with island queen berth, three cargo drawers below. Outboard the yacht is richly finished with teak "ceilings" lining the hull and additional storage cabinets and lockers Port and Starboard.
Next aft is the lower Salon & Galley with over sized U-shaped settee to port with storage under and in lockers outboard and above. Dining is from a varnished teak pedestal table that drops to form a filler. Opposite to starboard is the Galley featuring Corian counter tops. Refrigerated food stuffs are handled in the below counter, front load dual voltage fridge/freezer. Cooking is managed on a 2 burner Princess cook top and the Sharp convection microwave. Good storage in the associated lockers and drawers.
The enclosed Head is next aft to starboard with Vacuflush fresh water W.C., separate shower area with curved Plexiglas sliding door and vanity with Corian counter top and under-mounted sink.
Up three steps (with storage under) to the Helm Deck/Salon. DULCET features Stidd Seats for Capt. and Navigator, an L-settee aft and to port with storage under and the optional entertainment system to port housing a pop-up TV, Bose Blue tooth capable AM/FM/Stereo, and Sirius entertainment receiver.
Gracious access to the cockpit with molded in forward facing bench sea which lists on pneumatic struts to access storage under and ice maker to port, wide side decks with tall safety rails and gates P&S lead forward. Moving about the yacht is easy underway or at anchor.

Mechanical -This Eastbay 39 features the upgraded twin Caterpillar C-7 ACERT 455 diesels in lieu of the standard, turning five bladed propellers on 2" shafts through Twin Disc 2:1 gears. The hour meters show 712 hours as of the date of listing but both engines were given "0 hours rebuilds at 650 hours in the summer of 2017 meaning that there are just 60 hours on them! The rebuilds were done due to a failure of the after cooler on the port engine. The starboard engine was fine but the owner wanted to insure trouble free boating and keep both engines in the exact same condition and so had the same level of re-build done to the starboard engine.
