HURRAH is the SX or Saloon Express version of the very popular Eastbay 49. She offers a two-stateroom arrangement two head arrangement each with separate stall showers.  Galley is down to port and a custom seating arrangement with swiveling barrel chairs, table between, is opposite to starboard.  The Main Saloon settee was recently custom modified for additional comfort.

Interior joinery is high quality varnished teak, teak & holly sole throughout and includes the upgraded molding trim and paneled woodwork package.  Hardwoods are varnished in high gloss.  All interior hardware – hinges, door handles, drawer pulls, light fixtures etc. – are chrome to minimize maintenance and floor hatches hinged for controlled access.  There is generous natural ventilation with opening ports, overhead hatches (all with OceanAire shade & screen combination), side opening windows in the main saloon, opening center window and side door at helm.  Main saloon upgraded to 2 dedicated 16,000 btu units.  Stidd seats for helm and passenger.

Master Stateroom

Located forward with centerline island berth, two drawer storage beneath, flanked by reading lights on the bulkhead at the berth head, shelves on either side and teak hull ceilings. Additional storage found in outboard cupboards and full length cedar lined hanging locker aft to starboard. The forward bulkhead is teak covered in lieu of the standard white laminate.  A/C vents located away from berth head.

Direct entry to the ensuite Head w/separate stall shower aft to port with SeaLand VacuFlush freshwater toilet. Two large storage cabinets are outboard of the Silestone Ivory Coast countertop with Cameo White molded in sink.  An opening port and overhead hatch provides ventilation.

Guest Stateroom

Located to port with two athwartships berths, drawers beneath, louvered door cedar lined hanging locker between and sliding door. The berths have been raised slightly to accommodate a custom file drawer under the aft bunk and the combination Splendide Washer/Dryer under the forward one.  There is an overhead hatch, with shade/screen, and opening ports for light and ventilation.

The Guest Head is across the passageway to starboard with sliding pocket door, has its own separate stall shower and VacuFlush freshwater toilet.  Counters are Silestone Ivory Coast with Cameo White sink

U shaped to port, opening inboard, opposite the lower saloon sitting area.  The galley is notable for its very generous storage capacity.

  • Subway tile on forward and aft bukheads
  • Cabinets above, drawer and cabinet storage beneath
  • Scandvik polished large capacity double stainless sink
  • Large trash bin beneath sink
  • Europlus single lever faucet w/pull out spray for pressure hot and cold water
  • Seaward 3 burner electric ceramic cooktop w/oven outboard

Lower Saloon

Opposite the Galley to starboard and highly customized for leisure comfort and enjoyment. Two Grand Banks Barrel chairs flank a circular table, with opening door for storage.  Bookshelves are outboard and a bureau is positioned just inboard of the saloon stairs, above is a stereo system and the main A/DC electrical panel. A television is located behind a tambour door opposite.

Main Saloon

Up 3 steps from the galley, from the aft cockpit or starboard side helm door, is the Main Saloon and Helmstation.  Pompanette Platinum series UltraLeather covered helm and passenger seats are fitted with deck penetrating bases, allowing them to be lowered to 14” floor height and includes electrical adjustments for fore and aft.  Electronics and navigation equipment are thoughtfully located throughout the helm area in the teak console at the helm and above. There are a number of purpose specific separate breaker panels and other electronics located above for easy viewing and use.

Aft to Starboard is custom cabinetry to house the high/low TV outboard and entrainment center aft. Two Grand Banks teak arm chairs fit there as well.

Forward to Port, the Nav/passenger area is customized to enable an additional Galley storage cabinet by moving the top opening chart storage compartment inboard.  Just outboard is another customized piece for bar and storage. Aft is the L shaped settee which was recently modified in collaboration with Onboard Interiors of Marblehead, extending the seat bottom and replacing the cushions with more comfortable pieces with ottoman for a couch like feel.

The original cushions and teak drop leaf high/low table are available with the boat.  A picture of that arrangement can be provided, if interested.

Easily accessed by teak steps from the port and starboard sidedecks or through the transom door from the teak swim platform.  Forward are aft facing bench seats with storage beneath.  A swing up door opens to the engine room for easy access and there are 3 hatches for access to lazarette storage.  Hot and cold shower, shoreside water inlet on aft bulkhead and TV/Cable inlet, and a 75’ Glendinning Cablemaster shore power cord.
