Spencer’s lifelong love of boating began as an eight year old sailing student at the Harraseeket Yacht Club in South Freeport, Maine. Throughout his youth, he honed his sailing skills to become an accomplished racer, sailing instructor and director of the program. Summers teaching sailing and working at boatyards gave him a solid foundation throughout his college years. Spencer has competed in many one design and J-24 regattas, locally and nationally, PHRF, as well as many offshore racing events to Nova Scotia and Bermuda.
Following college he began a career in technical sales, customer support and training in the survey, engineering & GPS equipment markets. After developing new territory, educating customers on equipment and capabilities he decided to pursue a business on his own where he owned and operated a specialty hardwood & millwork business servicing boat builders, furniture makers, cabinet shops and high end construction firms. This eventually led to the sale of that business which now lives on under new ownership.
A current active member and past Commodore of Harraseeket Yacht Club, Spencer currently races and cruises his J-105 out of South Freeport, Maine with his wife and children and is an avid skier and hobbyist woodworker. He looks forward to sharing his love of boating and knowledge with clients.
