Accomodations and Layout
Indigo's spacious cabin arrangement makes an immediate impression as you step down the companionway stairs.
The teak joinerwork is of highest Maine quality and the teak and holly sole are well kept. All interior woodwork is satin finished varnish.
Beginning forward, is the anchor locker which is accessible on deck via generous hatch. The locker is narrow and deep which should allow for worry free stacking of the anchor rode.
Aft of the anchor locker is the owners cabin V-berth. This is a spacious and functional cabin which includes the large V-berth (no filler), settee bench, sink and mirror, numerous drawers and a hanging locker. There is also ample side counter space with fiddles and storage underneath for personal items
Next aft is the main saloon which gives the impression of a larger vessel due to the generous beam. The L Settee to port can be converted into a comfortable double. The straight settee to stbd is a generous single.
There is storage outboard and under the settees.
The large bi-fold dining table stores securely on the main bulkhead to allow maximum use of the space in the saloon. There is bottle storage behind the stored table. When the table is down, one leg supports the main section to port and a second leg supports the bi-fold to stbd. When fully deployed, the table can seat 6.
The passage aft is slightly off center as you pass by the secure handholds of the partial bulkhead that create the back of the settees.
To stbd is the aft-facing nav station. Nav and comm equipment is easily accessible. There is chart storage under the table and the DC and AC Electrical Distribution panel is directly above the chart desk.
Moving across to the port side you pass by the base of the companionway steps and enter the galley. This is a functional and secure galley which includes deep double stainless steel sinks on centerline. Countertop garbage access. Seafrost refrigeration (2015) in the counter top fridge. Tasco three burner propane stove with oven. Copious storage.
Aft to port is the spacious guest stateroom featuring double berth, locker storage and a hanging locker. There is also engine access via a removable insulated box.
Across to stbd is the head which includes a manual marine toilet, vanity sink and a shower space with seat.
The cockpit is a functional space for sailing while also allowing relaxing and socializing when at anchor.
Deck, Topsides and Rig
The topsides were painted with Green Awlgripi in 2016 making a stunning impression in any harbor. A double white boot stripe, gold cove stripe and red bottom complete the color scheme. The bottom was barrier coated in 2009.
The deck is thoughfully laid out for sailing while also allowing for clean walkways with teak handrails atop the cabin trunk. All teak on deck has been left natural gray for ease of maintenance.
At the bow there is a Harken rollerfurler on the headstay. There is an anchor roller with 33 lb Bruce galvanized anchor. There is combination chain and rope rode that runs through a Lewmar electric windlass. There are deck switches as well as a swtich at the helm.
The roller furling line runs down the port side via stanchion mounted turning blocks.
Moving aft, there are six overhead hatches and six opening portlights on the cabin house.
There are inboard AND outboard jib sheet tracks.
The aluminum two-spreader rig has been unstepped annually and all standing rigging was replaced in 2016.
There is an upper fitting for additional or detachable inner forestay
The Leisurefurl boom is and solid Forespar vang is a significant equipment upgrade. The halyard and furling line are lead aft to the cockpit where an electric winch makes easy work of raising and lowering the main.
Sails: furling main, 110% and 130% jibs, Asymmetric spinnaker, storm trysail.
The cockpit is secure and functional with seat cushions throughout. The helm includes an Edson wheel pedestal with twin lever control, teak cup holders, Ritchie compass and an autopilot control head. Raymarine speed, apparent wind and depth instruments on the forward house.
There is a Navtec hydraulic backstay adjuster at the base of the backstay.
Lewmar winches: 43ST mainsheet port housetop, #40 electric main halyard stbd housetop, 2x #52ST primaries, 2x 43ST secondaries, #30 halyard
Under the stbd seat is a large lazzarette and a cockpit shower with hot and cold water.
There are 2x 20 lb propane tanks, barbecue grill, dinghy outboard mount, stern boarding swim ladder, cockpit table, removable sun awning (when at rest). Lifejackets, fenders, flares, jack lines, preventer.
Custom Fairclough Boom Tent for winter storage with the mast in place.
