New for 2017 Sliding Glass Sides & Entry Door Versatile Guest Cabin Arrangements
"Like the Upper Deck of a 110 Foot Motoryacht"
The 50z has become world renowned for its innovative flush, main deck design with side and transom boarding doors making it easy to board and move on one level from aft deck to helm. Under the hard top, the air-conditioned space can be fully opened with roll-up Strataglass, bringing the outside in, just like a summer porch. This creates the most unique entertaining and living space on any luxury motoryacht.
New for 2017, we have introduced three new options: (a) sliding safety glass sides, (b) a polished stainless and glass entry door, which slides to port over a fixed glass panel, and (c) an aft starboard side glass panel that magically drops and disappears at the press of a button. The 50z is fitted with an industry first: three fully-opening electric windshields, which can be set securely at any angle.
Cruising Comfort for Friends and Family
The galley is party central, just three (3) steps below in a spacious Great Cabin as a place to keep the chef company when preparing dinner or for early morning coffee with the morning news. A large master cabin is featured forward with ensuite head, glass enclosed shower & seat, two hanging lockers, plenty of drawer, shelf, dry under sole storage, lounge chair and desk.
For sleeping, the Great Cabin becomes a second cabin with ensuite head & shower by closing the intervening passageway door. The L-shaped lounge converts to foot-to-foot twins by just removing backrest cushions... or, with table lowered, a double berth with chairs at either end. A heavy linen Pullman curtain is provided for additional privacy. See the option below for the innovative portable bulkhead system with dual entry head.
OTHER 50z ARRANGEMENTS
Below at left is the permanent guest cabin option with raised berths, an ensuite head & shower, easy chair and side table for generous guest accommodations
Below at right is the portable bulkhead system option that is easily erected with wall panels stored in a pocket between head and cabin entry doors when not in use. As seen by clicking the video link below, this can be a 15 minute operation.
Captain's Quarters with Dinette Option
This layout features a fixed cabin for guests or captain with small "wet" day head and dinette in place of the larger starboard head/shower and Great Cabin lounge. The upper berth shown at right is removable to create a single berth cabin shown at left. The luxury of dining space below is not lost. The aft seat in the dinette also works as a single berth without changing anything. The table drops at the push of a button to become a double berth and a Pullman curtain can close off the area.
The owner of 50z #9 elected this 2nd cabin option, but decided to keep the Great Cabin with 40" TV and just have one head and glass enclosed shower to port with dual entry doors.
