Naval architect Glenn Henderson recieved kudos for the easily driven Hunter 41 hull form, featuring a nearly plumb bow, maximizing waterline length and decreasing pitching motion. Hull convexity forward and a modest stern reflex combine to flatten the stern wake, resulting in superb acceleration and surprising speed.
